For those who want to enjoy the echoing emptiness of Rum on their own. Burragh Canyon is a
safe and secluded world apart, on the eastern margins of Wadi Rum, away from most visitors.
The idea is simple. After a day touring, Saleh sets up camp for you at one end of the six kilometre
canyon; he cooks dinner; gives you directions and instructions for the following day; provides food
for breakfast (and lunch if you wish) then leaves you. You wake when you want, get up when you
want and explore the canyon at your own pace, leaving Saleh to collect the tent and re-erect it at
your destination ready for your arrival. Perfect for a family adventure; yet impossible to get lost.
Saleh will rendezvous with you for lunch (if you want) or you can just meet up again in the early
evening at the canyon exit, near some of the best ancient inscriptions and drawings in Wadi Rum.
You have all the freedom of an independent traveller but with the luxury that somone knows
where you are and will be around to look after you.
Welcome; I'm Saleh. With my wife and family we offer every kind of guided tour in Rum. Camping, 4x4 safaris, mountain scrambles, bedouin cooking and culture, desert trekking, secret valleys and special places. Ten different tours!.
